Scoodle terms and conditions

1. Definitions

1.1. Scoodle - an open source e-learning web application located at, (hereinafter Scoodle or the Service).

1.2. Administrator - Huvikoolituste Õppekeskus OÜ (hereinafter Administrator), which offers the opportunity to use the Scoodle learning environment.

1.3. User - a physical user who has created a user account (hereinafter Account) in the Scoodle environment.

1.4. Institution - a company, institution or other organization conducting educational activities in a Scoodle environment (hereinafter Institution).

2. General

2.1. Users and Institutions can use Scoodle only if they agree to all the terms of use (hereinafter the Terms). If you do not agree to the terms, the Account will not be created for the User and the Institution will not be allowed to use the Service.

2.2. The use of Scoodle means, but is not limited to, the creation of a Scoodle Account by the User and the use of Scoodle opportunities to participate in the educational activities offered by the Institution or to conduct the Institution's study activities and the use of Scoodle opportunities by the Institution to conduct educational activities, etc.

2.3. Use of the service is possible only through a personal and personally identifiable Account. When using the service, it is possible to authenticate the User with a username and password or another additional authentication solution.

2.4. The fee for creating an Account is according to the selected package.

3. Scoodle account creation and deletion

3.1. To create a Scoodle Account, a person must be at least 13 years old or use the Service on the basis of a document regulating the organization of studies at the Institution or have the consent of a legal representative to create a User Account.

3.2. To create an account, you need to enter your first and last name, e-mail and personal password in Scoodle.

3.3. After the Account is created and approved by the administrator, an automatic confirmation email will be sent to the entered e-mail to log in to Scoodle.

3.4. The User has the right to submit a request to the Administrator to delete his / her Account at any time by submitting a request to this effect to the e-mail:

3.5. The Administrator shall delete the Account if there is no active study under the Account associated with the Account. If the Account is related to active study under an Institution, the User must allow the Institution (s) to remove Scoodle from active study before submitting a request to the Administrator to delete the Account.

3.6. The Account and all data in the Scoodle related to the Account will be deleted no later than within 2 weeks of receiving the respective request. After deleting the Account, it is not possible to use the Service.

4. User rights, obligations and responsibilities

4.1. The User can participate in the study conducted by Scoodle or conduct the study of Scoodle only if the Institution has established a corresponding connection with the User (added role) or as a guest in public e-courses, if such an opportunity has been given by the course provider.

4.2. By creating an Account, the User will have a private area Scoodle, where the User can store other personal data in addition to the data required to create an Account. The user has the possibility to change and delete the added personal data at any time. The data required to create an Account cannot be deleted.

4.3. The User is responsible for the accuracy of the personal data added to his / her Account and for interfacing with additional personal data and Scoodle external services and the accompanying data exchange.

4.4. When using the Account, the User undertakes to do everything possible to prevent third parties from accessing his Account.

4.5. In the event of a potential threat, the User undertakes to take immediate measures to prevent third parties from accessing the Account (for example, changing the password, etc.). In case of danger, the Service Support must also be notified by e-mail

4.6. When creating an account and using the Service, any activities that may prevent the Administrator from providing the Service or are in conflict with legislation are prohibited. Upon detection of prohibited activities, the Administrator has the right to restrict the User's access to the Service.

4.7. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to, overloading the Service with queries, adding insecure / illegal content to the system, impersonating another person, infringing copyright, attempting to access other Users' Accounts in any way, intentionally circumventing or attempting to restrict access to the Service, or other reprehensible conduct or contributing to such behaviour by the User.

4.8. The user has the opportunity to interface their Account with external Scoodle services (e.g. Google Drive, MS Office 365, etc.). The interface of the User's Account with external services is not controlled by the Administrator. Only the fact of interfacing with an external service is visible to the administrator.

4.9. By registering as a User, the User agrees to receive notifications related to the Service by e-mail.

5. Rights, obligations and responsibilities of the institution

5.1. The institution has the right to use the Service to conduct its educational activities. A Subcategory of Scoodle is opened for each Institution.

5.2. The use of the service is for all Institutions on an "as is" basis, i.e. Scoodle is hosted by the Administrator as described in the source code, which can be downloaded from

5.3. The Institution has an obligation to ensure the compliance of the roles and rights of the users of the Institution and to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing the Service.

5.4. When using the Service, any activities that may prevent the Administrator from providing the Service or are in conflict with the law are prohibited (an indicative list is provided in Section 4.7).

5.5. The institution has the opportunity to interface its Scoodle subcategory with external services (for example, Google Drive, MS Office, etc.). The interface of the subcategory of the Institution with external services and the data exchange arising from the interface cannot be controlled by the Administrator, and in this respect the responsibility and the obligation to inform persons in case of transfer of personal data rests entirely with the Institution.

5.6. The institution ensures the compliance of the materials entered, added, created in the environment, etc., entered into the Scoodle environment by itself or its Users, including compliance with copyright.

5.7. The institution undertakes to remove Users from the Scoodle study (e-course) no later than 6 months after the end of the specific study. Upon keeping the users at the completed course for a longer period, the Institution is obliged to inform the Users about the longer term and reason for keeping the course at the course.

5.8. The Institution is liable for damage caused through its assigned roles, including violations of data protection requirements and activities that impair the operation of the Service.

6. Rights, obligations and responsibilities of the administrator

6.1. The Administrator has the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions unilaterally by notifying the Users and Institutions thereof by e-mail provided on the Administrator's website and / or Scoodle.

6.2. The Administrator offers the Institutions the opportunity to use the Scoodle learning environment and the Users the opportunity to create an Account in the Scoodle learning environment in order to participate in the learning activities carried out by the Institutions in Scoodle. The service is provided 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, except during maintenance times announced by the Administrator.

6.3. The service is provided only over a secure connection (https).

6.4. Scoodle is hosted on servers managed by the Administrator and located on the territory of Estonia.

6.5. Scoodle, servers and database software are maintained with up-to-date security updates.

6.6. The Administrator provides Users and Authorities with user support related to the use of Scoodle. Support is provided by e-mail

6.7. The Administrator is not responsible for the data entered into the Scoodle by the Institutions and Users and the content of the uploaded materials.

6.8. The Administrator shall not be liable for any failures of the Service caused by circumstances beyond the control of the Administrator.

7. 14-day right of cancellation/withdrawal

7.1. The price packages offered by the Administrator are subject to a 14-day right of withdrawal prescribed by law.

7.2. If the User or the Institution has selected a paid package and started using it after the 90-day free trial period, the Administrator has the right to waive the 14-day right of withdrawal.

8. Protection of personal data.

8.1. As the chief processor, the Administrator processes personal data only to the extent necessary to enable the creation of Accounts for Users and to ensure the provision of the Service to the Institution.

8.2. In order to provide the Service better and more efficiently, the Service uses cookies stored in the web browser, which include: User's IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, reference source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths, as well as timing, frequency and model. Cookies generally do not contain data that could be used to identify the User, but the personal data stored by the User may be related to cookies and through them it is possible to associate the User's activities in the web browser with the User's person.

8.3. The Administrator discloses personal data only to the Institutions that use the Service to enable the Institution to assign a role related to the Institution to the User and to other persons if the requirement to disclose the data arises from legislation.

8.4. The institution is responsible for the compliance of the processing of personal data processed by itself or its Users in the Scoodle environment (incl. Data exchange accompanying external services interfaced with the Service) with legislation (incl. For information activities), being the chief processor of such personal data.

8.5. With regard to the data specified in clause 7.3, the Administrator is an authorized processor, enabling the use of the Service for the processing of personal data, providing user support to the Service and hosting the personal data contained in Scoodles on its servers.

8.6. In order to exercise all rights arising from the processing of personal data related to educational activities or the rights arising from law, the User must contact the Institution within the framework of which his or her personal data is processed by Scoodle.

8.7. The User can see all the personal data contained in his / her Scoodle at any time in the Scoodle section of his / her Account. The User undertakes to keep the personal information of Scoodle up to date.

8.8. The Administrator may process all personal data contained in the Service to provide service support to the Service, to analyse the Service in order to improve the quality of the Service.

8.9. Within 72 hours, the Administrator will notify all Users of the possible data leak on the website, on the homepage of the Service and by e-mail provided by Scoodle to the persons who were or may have been affected by the data leak. In addition, the Administrator notifies the State Information System Board and the Data Protection Inspectorate through the appropriate incident reporting form. In addition, the Administrator shall immediately take all measures to prevent the use of the leaked data in any way against the users of the service.
